Jesus said to them, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.” The disciples said we have here only five loaves and these two fish. Jesus said bring them to me”. They did as he said and Jesus worked a miracle through their little lunch (Matthew 14:13-21). When we give what we have to Jesus, whether it be food, ability, skills, even money or blessing people, He is able to make it go as far as it needs to go and also, to have some left over.
Take heart, the next time you feel impressed to give, whatever it may be, first give it to Jesus. What you have may seem so small, yet, He is able to make it grow and enlarge. Since He did it then, you can bank on His faithfulness to dosomething equally miraculous today.
Last of all, He never asks you to give so that you may experience lack. He asks us to give so that we may see a miracle. He wants us to grow in obedience and every time you give or obey it will become easier. He loves you and He wants only His best for you. Sometimes I ask myself; Danny, what do you want, His best for your life or your best? The answer comes back very clearly. Your best, Lord, is what I want; my best is not good enough. The implication is that the little lad gave all his lunch and it fed not only the multitudes, but also, it fed the young man who gave his lunch. (The scripture says that there were twelve baskets full of food that remained after they were fed). Some people do not like leftovers, but I do- lots of leftovers.

“Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” (Hebrews 2:14)
When Adam turned from God, who was the Source of his Life, he then became subject to the power of death. The only way we could get out of that terrible dilemma was by Christ’s death on the cross and through the power of His resurrection we enter into the life of Jesus. Entering into our death, Christ endured the penalty for sin and satisfied the claim that satan had over us, fulfilling, the scripture, “death is swallowed up in victory.” (1 Corinthians 15:54-57) Thanks be unto God, our marvelous heavenly Father who through Jesus our great leader has established us as overwhelming, triumphant, invincible champions through His amazing love for us. We win, in fact we more than win, victory is a slight almost trivial word, we are not marching over a field of battle into a defeated city. We are born on the wings of faith into the life giving presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. My brother and sister, no matter what comes down we still win big because He is on our side! (Romans 8:37)
Christ on the cross birthed a whole new generation in world history who would be called Christians, a people who are filled with His glory, grace and power, who cannot and will not be defeated. A people who died in Christ on the cross and in dying with Him; we were resurrected with Him, becoming a new creature with a new nature and now from our heart, we serve God. What an exciting life when you know satan no longer has anything to hold over your head and God has empowered you with His strength to overcome the evil ungodly influences in this world. The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death. (Romans 8:2)

Forgiveness – is it forgetfulness or is it a quality that was given to us in the new birth. I believe forgiveness must become a way of life for a Christian. One day some religious folk brought a lady who had been taken in adultery to see what Jesus would do. They were trying to protect a way of life, a religious philosophy or an idea. Jesus wrecked their strategy. (John 8:3-11)
Humanity has always wanted to put up walls of defense. The flesh says, I sure won’t forget it. I don’t want to open myself to the possibility of having it happen again.” Jesus forgives all who come to Him with repentant hearts. God took down all the walls of defense and said, “Danny, I forgive you, and not only that, but I have blotted out all remembrance of your transgressions, and will not remember them anymore”. Some folks have never forgiven in the way God teaches us to forgive. The word “forgiveness” is not a philosophical idea. It means God forgave and it will not be brought up again. In for-giving, you give away all your so-called rights, your heart, your love, and they’re all given freely. You see it is an attitude of forgiveness that must be maintained to live the Christ like life.
To live with un-forgiveness in your heart is to say, “God, I don’t accept your way.” When you do this you have taken yourself out of His blessing. Jesus would say, neither will your Father in heaven forgive you your trespasses. (Mark 11:25)
Let’s forgive and watch the Grace of God work in all His Power and Might!
Living in His forgiveness,

“This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth; but you shall meditate in the Word of God day and night that thou may observe to do according to all that is written in it; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.” (Joshua 1:8)
I like the Ronald Knox translation here, this book of the law shall be a governor on your tongue. A governor can be a device to keep a motor from running to fast or a Head of State that keeps everything working well. I say it this way, God’s Word, the Bible will keep your mouth from running away with you. A mouth and heart filled with the Word, will get you where you need to be and a successful Spirit filled life will be “your lot in life.”
What do you do when things in your life do not match up with the promise of God? Abraham was confronted with just that; what God had promised, seemed to be an impossibility. There was no child in sight not even a little bump on Sarah’s tummy to encourage him. Romans 4:18 gives some insight, who against hope believed in hope. When there was no reason to hope in the natural realm, he believed in Gods ability to fulfill the promise made to him. He did not consider his body or his wife Sarah’s body, or their age and time of life. He had to fasten his faith upon God’s power to go beyond impossibility and call into being that which did not exist.
God made the promise of a child to Abraham and Sarah. In spite of all the obstacles, Abraham learned to feed his hope with the Word of God and faith rose up to take hold of the promise. Faith, after all is said and done, is the substance of that for which you have hoped. (Heb 11:1) So in these troubled times, dear ones, look to the promise of God it will take you to a higher level, hope will once again rise up in you, fear will dissipate and you will cause your way to be successful.

Yes, it is a major part of why Jesus came to the earth, died on the cross, went to hell and ascended in total victory over death, hell and the grave. It is very important, even though it is God’s forgiving heart that causes Him to continually pour out His blessing on us. When God said, “I will pardon according to Thy word”, He was speaking to Moses as an intercessor for Israel in the wilderness. Today Jesus has become our high priest (Romans 8:38) He is always in the presence of God interceding for us.
The book of Hebrews pictures Jesus as being offered to bear the sins of many. He is the sin bearer, like the priest in the Old Covenant, and like Moses who stood in the gap. The Bible teaches that Jesus is at the Father’s right hand to ask pardon for you and me. Forgiveness is a vital part of redemption, as is the intercession of Christ on the cross. He has been interceding on our behalf in His priestly ministry and will continue until His return. The words of Jesus ring clear in (Mark11:25-26), “If you do not forgive neither will your Father forgive you”.
Let us be like our Father – forgive freely. Forgive governments; forgive Mom’s, Dad’s, teachers and preachers. Colossians 1:12 says that you are able to be partakers of the inheritance; we have inherited His nature, it was born in us. We are longsuffering, kind, gentle, good, and full of the love of God and we have peace with God. Forgiven we can shout with joy!! So, dear ones, lift your eyes and look to Him who made you and be imitators of God.
